Sep 25, 2012 - Riddarholmen Church - Stockholm This is quite an amazing looking Church, unfortunately I didn't have time to explore inside any of the Swedish churches :( The Spire on this old church is cast iron!

It was originally built as a monastary church for the Franciscan friars and the construction works began around 1280. It took about 20 years to complete the Riddarholmen Church (Swedish: Riddarholmskyrkan) is the church of a former medieval abbey in Stockholm, Sweden. The church serves as the final resting place of most Swedish monarchs. Riddarholmen Church is located on the island of Riddarholmen, close to the Royal Palace in Stockholm, Sweden.
